From the Archives: 1940s Morton School
With schools back in session, I want to share a photo from the past. Here is a picture of the first grade class at Morton School from 1941, which you can find in our Morton collection. Do any of you have fond memories of Morton?
I remember kindergarten and first grade at Morton in the mid-1960s. Nap time? You've got to be kidding me. Too much to do (like running in the halls -- apparently also a no no). Enjoyed swinging over the asphalt playground in the back. Didn't seem to be too much concern over safety back then.
